Dr Jens Grueger

PhD, Partner Boston Consulting Group; Fellow at the BCG Henderson Institute; Affiliate Professor of Health Economics at the Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy, and Economics (CHOICE) Institute at University of Washington.

Jens Grueger is a Director and Partner at the Boston Consulting Group based in Zurich Switzerland. He joined BCG in 2019 as senior expert for pricing and market access in healthcare and serves both industry and Global Health clients. He is also a Fellow at the BCG Henderson Institute, where his research focuses on systems approaches to global problems with a focus on health equity and access to healthcare.
 
Jens is an Affiliate Professor of Health Economics at the Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy, and Economics (CHOICE) Institute at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy in Seattle, USA, and the 2020-2021 President of ISPOR, the leading professional society for health economics and outcomes research.
 
Prior to this, Jens had a distinguished career in the pharmaceutical industry, leading the Global Pricing & Market Access functions at Novartis (1999-2009), Pfizer (2009-2011) and Roche (2011-2019).
 
Jens holds a MSc (Diplom) in Medical Statistics and Theoretical Medicine, and a PhD in Mathematical Statistics from the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany. He has authored more than 40 publications in biometrics, cancer epidemiology, and health economics.
